Hey, I’m Alex Lucas!

I’ve been a designer since I was 11 or 12, way before I even knew what really design was. It all started when I began creating banners and other graphics for bands I loved on their forums. That lead to designing a logo for a band on MySpace. And then after many other freelance design and photography projects lead to where I’m at now, an art director at a small magazine based in Ohio.

Want to know a bit more?
I have a ferret named Poe, a tattoo of a lamp (it’s a inside joke with my mom), a grey Mini Cooper, I have obsession with buying mugs and drinking coffee, and a love for industrial styled interiors.

My childhood was spent playing Tomb Raider and The Sims, going to medieval fairs and art museums, and reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Why the name Oh The Raven?
Ever since the 6th grade I’ve had a love for the poem The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. It was the poem that started my love for all things dark and creepy.

Thanks for taking a moment to get to know me. If you want to get to know me a bit more or would like to work with me, feel free to email at alex@ohtheraven.com
